Sunday ADVIENTO III. A. CYCLE

" you who have come or have to wait for another? " (Mt 11, 2-11).

This is the question John Jesus. It is a fundamental question that makes Juan Jesus and that still stands for all of us today.

is important to contemplate in silence the scene: John is a prisoner in jail Machaerous (for accusing Herod immorality) and we hear of the "proceedings" of Jesus and begins to feel doubt to see that things are not going as he had announced. John begins to worry. Neither the person nor the message of Jesus and his works will convince at all ... And John is in crisis and needs to be clarified. Did it wrong to proclaim that Jesus was the one everyone expected? So to find out for sure sends two disciples to Jesus to propose a question:

" you who had to come or we have to wait for another ? " We too can ask Jesus: "Thou art the hope that all ? Are You you can answer as many questions as we carry in our hearts? Art thou that can calm our deeper concern? Where can we find meaning in our lives, in you or the other? Is it true that you can "rejoice in the wilderness and the wilderness" as Isaiah says today? Yes, this question is still alive ... Who has come for more than half of humanity will not starve at the indifference of many? Who has come to prevent the start of the third millennium, the violence and war in our land? Are You, Lord, who can fill the deepest aspiration of our hearts?

Jesus' answer to John's disciples is clear and convincing : "Go to tell John what you hear and see: the blind see and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear ... "

Jesus' response indicates that he is the bringer release humanity. The gesture that best discovers his true identity is his job to cure, to heal and to free life. If anything characterizes the person of Jesus is his passionate love life, Jesus reveals himself waking life, health and sense.

This is the challenge that we also have Christians today to announce the Gospel: we live in a world seduced by ambition and power of having, but not happy. The proclamation of the Gospel can bring hope to our world liberating enslaved by idols of having and power.

"Go and announce John what you hear and see . "In other words, is to proclaim the liberating experience of God in our lives, say what you hear and see.

; Today we, we ask ourselves what are we seeing and hearing? What is our Life experience do we have the experience of the blind open their eyes to Light that is Christ? Have we seen deaf begin to hear the Word which gives life? "We also have experience of pulling our crutches and move along the paths of liberty? Do we know what it is to rise from the dead and experiencing real life? "We have found in Him in the Face of the Risen the beginning of a new life that we can renew every day?

Jesus says: " happy who takes no offense at m í" . The God revealed in Jesus, the God of tenderness and life, you can also cheat and shock. There are people who have made God in his "image" for the world and want to give that image of God. So Jesus says: " happy who takes no offense at me ." Jesus really does not leave anyone indifferent approach of heart to Him When we come to Him we find someone who lives in truth, anyone who knows how to live and how. Jesus' passion for life reveals our superficiality and our conventions. His ardent love exposes our selfishness and mediocrity. His truth reveals our delusions. His experience of the Father invites us to trust.

That today we turn our eyes to Him, the Risen , at the invitation of the prophet Isaiah (Is 35, 1-6.10): "Behold your God coming in person to all people bring salvation" . Yes, Jesus, God comes in person on this earth for all mankind to live and feel loved. He comes to meet us.

This third Sunday of Advent is called "Sunday of Joy " because, in the liturgy is an invitation to joy as we heard from Isaiah: " the desert and the desert shall rejoice ... rejoice with joy and gladness ". What Christians have done with joy? Why Why not contagious joy and hope? The Gospel is a message of joy and hope for all: That lepers rejoice because He heals our wounds. Rejoice that the oppressed because he breaks the chains. Rejoice that the burdened for life, because He comes to free us from our burdens and our dollars. Glad to be blind because He is our Light. Glad that all those who feel vulnerable, because He is our fortress, " Strengthen the weak hands, strengthen the feeble knees, Say to the fearful heart," Be strong, fear not. "

we welcome everyone in this next Christmas, because he fills with light and our life meaning at all find The Life, the Source of our life and our joy.

May we say, "Come, Lord Jesus, you who bring peace and joy to the world.
