Below Knee Length Black Dress

Fourth Sunday of Advent Third Sunday of Advent

; FOURTH SUNDAY OF CYCLE ADVIENTO A.

" Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife .. ." (Mt 1, 18-24).

These are the words of the angel to Joseph ... Today these words are also addressed to each one of us. We need to hear this message: "Do not be afraid ." is an invitation not to be afraid and to embrace the life that God offers us .

The situation that is Joseph, is a puzzling situation of confusion and doubt ... is that " before living together, Mary was with child." How can it be? " Joseph was good and would not denounce away quietly decide." For some the sense of the reaction of Joseph (not living with Mary) not the result of suspicion of Mary's pregnancy, but wonder at the mystery of God, how could I live with someone in whom God has made this so special.

Jose is in a difficult situation , and in this situation is when the angel intervenes (which represents the closeness of God in our lives). It does in dreams ... What you get in sleep is an invitation to live life free from the fear . "Do not be afraid to take Mary, because the creature in it, from the Holy Spirit." Jose has to overcome his own fear, their feeling of unworthiness and smallness.

These words of the angel to Joseph are now also addressed to each of us ... " not be afraid, do not be afraid to open up to life, which God gives you ... Do not be afraid, have no resistance do not choke the life of your being ... Fear is the root of every flight, do not listen to fear, but the call of God to live in trust.

We must recognize that often , we find fears , confused, stopped in our path, going round and round and, deciding like Joseph, withdraw, distancing, escape from ourselves, or fall into the temptation of distrust and discouragement, the compensation of any kind to relieve our anxiety. Is when we need to listen well the "angel" in all of us and resolve our situation of darkness, " do not be afraid to take Mary ." She carries a full life, Jesus, that needs to be welcomed into our hearts.

Today, we are invited to out of our fears and our hesitations.

And the foundation of this call to live without fear is that " the Virgin gives birth to a son and shall call his name Emmanuel " (which means God with us) . From our faith we realize that God is in the heart of our life, in the depths of our being and our human history, sharing our problems and aspirations, making solidarity of all human beings, He is the claims, in short, our hope, his name is Emmanuel, which means God with us.

Yes, God is present in our lives , that means Emmanuel, God is with us. He remains with us today, God . God is closer to you than you can imagine, He is there where you are, as long as you open the Mystery, the Holy Spirit as Mary, Joseph ...

Being Christian is not believing that God exists, think of something or someone from a distance holds mysterious creation. Being a Christian is to discover with joy that "God is with us ." The inaccessible God has become human and love and tenderness surrounding us. This is the profound certainty that frees us from fear. If God is with us there is nothing to fear, our life is guaranteed. It is possible a future of peace and hope for ourselves and our world.

"When Joseph woke up, did what he had sent the angel of the Lord and took home to his wife " . Jose responds with great joy and confidence to the invitation of the angel and took Mary home. What would have been lost, had reacted negatively. We also need to listen to our inner invitations and respond (like Joseph) to these invitations inside and being prisoners of our situation. Are we coherent with our invitations indoors? Are we obedient to the call of "angel" within us?

we on the threshold of concluding Christmas: in each of us can be born God can birth a new life, hope and joy. In each and every one of us can befall a real Christmas.

That will open the doors of our home this Christmas. Our prayer can be today: Lord Jesus, You are Good News, You are Emmanuel (God with us), we thank you for continuing to save us every day and staying with us. not be afraid to welcome you in our hearts.
