The stem cells will cure many diseases
The head of the Hematology Service of the Hospital de Palencia, Fernando Ortega, has given a lecture organized by the School of Pastoral Care, entitled "Controversies in the therapeutic use of stem cells."

There are no clinical trials to investigate its use in humans, only animals. They have won the battle of adult stem cells, which have a similar behavior to embryonic, but are safer and do not develop cancers and tumors.
- A Catholic can accept the use of this type of progress with stem cells?
"I understand that a Catholic can not accept the fact of destroying an embryo because the embryo is a living being and a human. With stem cell research on embryos are destroyed thousands, which for a Christian is unacceptable.
- What are the drawbacks stem cells.
"The research is very slow, because the manipulation of cells is always complex, many problems arise, as to be maintained in culture cells and then begin testing in animals (mice, pigs, rabbits ...) to finally decide to use in humans.
