Jesus, remember me, when you come into your kingdom

; 34 SUNDAY TO THE KING JESCRISTO

" Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom ." (Lk 23, 35-43).

With these words of one of the criminals hanging there, we went to Jesus King of the Universe: " Jesus, remember me when come into your kingdom." This thug, represents all evil-doers, that is, to all of us. He was fortunate to be with Jesus in the suffering of the Cross. We have the same luck. Let's say again: "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Only this marginalized discover the mystery of Jesus and decided to entrust to Jesus asking to join his kingdom. And Jesus replied, "today be with me in Paradise ".

The thief recognized Jesus as King, not at the time of triumph, miracles, the masses applaud him, but at the time of the defeat of the Cross. The body of Jesus is flanked by flogging, a crown of thorns, bare and reduced to nothing and the darkness of failure, the "good thief" is able to see Jesus as King, to proclaim the King. " Jesus, remember me when come into your kingdom.

" Today will be with me in Paradise. This response Jesus." These words of Jesus on the cross show the mercy, love and compassion of God toward every human being. Jesus' message of love to the enemy or the lost is emphasized in these words: "today will be with me in paradise ." The cross is probably the moment that reveals more clearly the fundamental attitudes to live and build the Kingdom that Jesus announced: love, mercy and forgiveness. Believers need to look at this love, the source of our Christian life and remember today is never too late to enter by way of the Gospel. Any day, any time, any moment of our life can be "today " of salvation. need to listen well this "Today": Today will be with me in Paradise . Today is salvation. Today is the possibility of conversion. Today no forgiveness for you. Ho and we can open our eyes to His presence. Ho and We recognize Jesus as King and Lord of our life. Today we begin again. In summary, Paradise is in the today (though we are in an extreme situation).

" officials scoffed at Jesus, saying, He saved others, let him save himself ". These authorities can not conceive of a Messiah who dies that way, as the Messiah of God is to save the people. They have a God tailored to their interests. So, laugh at him Soldiers also laugh because they do not understand Jesus a king who can not even defend himself. Also today many laugh at religious beliefs. In a society that modern flag and liberalism, religion and the faithful are seen as signs of immaturity, underdeveloped and folly. Just come to our social media to see and hear ridicule and contempt of religion. There is also disqualified and indifference.

But amid all the fun, resonates at this event invocation: " Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom ". is a criminal who recognizes Jesus as King and confident, she asks him to remember him. Jesus replied: "Today be with me in Paradise" . Some people also today are still making fun of the Crucified. They are mocking the man who has given human history. But what would become of us if we had left stranded at the powerlessness of death and the great emptiness of our culture? Today, in this culture characterized by postmodernism, lies the culture of nihilism or void.

Today, we celebrate the feast of Christ the King, we are introduced to all Christians the image of Jesus reigning from a cross. A King who establishes his kingdom of life, justice and peace by giving his life for love. In the cross, which we see Jesus as King, there is a message not always heard: the human being saves loving until the end. Jesus died on the cross, in an attitude of total love for every human being, challenges us all. He opens before us a long way hopefully.

celebrate that Christ is our King and wish to reign in our lives, and in our world . Even today, however, who reigns in the world are the multinational money and ambition embodied in the neoliberal system .... Jesus' kingdom is a kingdom not far from this world.

The Letter to the Colossians, we've heard, presents Christ as the " image of the invisible God " ... In Him is the fullness of Life. The world and the universe can take the treasure of Christ, the wisdom to create the basic conditions for a dignified life of every human being.

On this feast of Christ the King, we are invited to ask: Who are our kings? Are there other kings who are not He? Who determines our life? There are a number of "little kings" which tend to enslave: Anything can become our "king" when we dominates and prevents us from living fully. Promise an interesting and happy life and often leave us a feeling of emptiness, frustration and pointless .

That Sunday, we turn to Him, the Lord of Life, and make our prayer marginalized in today's Gospel, telling him: " Jesus, remember me when come into your kingdom." Jesus, remember us all .
