Kidneys Stones Pain Worse For Men
The core of tissue expansion is the ability of tissue to increase their surface in response to a continuing and growing pressure. A natural example is found in the loosening of the skin of the abdomen in pregnancy or obesity.
tissue expanders . The
breast tissue expander, is the provisional implant that is placed (when it is necessary to increase the skin's surface) in the first surgery of breast reconstruction. It's a breast-shaped bag whose wall is made of silicone in solid form. The expander fills physiological saline. Its structure has housed a valve in the anterior wall, through which saline is injected through a syringe and needle through the skin and the pectoralis major (with the aid after a locator ).
The tissue expander, the skin stretched zone mastectomy, creating a form of breast volume. You get a pocket of suitable size and shape to fill in a second surgical procedure with an implant or breast prosthesis.
tissue expansion phases.
Tissue expansion is a process that usually requires three surgical stages:
1. expander placement. Usually placed in the mastectomy (immediate reconstruction) or a deferred using the mastectomy scar (delayed reconstruction), although sometimes the shape or position of the scar, it is necessary to use a new path.
2. Filling the expander . Filling is done through a valve and injected saline. The frequency is usually filled, once a week, but depending on the type of expander and tissue characteristics and evolution of the patient may increase or decrease this frequency. It usually begins to fill two weeks after implantation. Usually filled with a volume greater than the final implant and the surface is intended to cover.
3. Replacement expander . When you have succeeded in creating the optimal tissue distension, is replaced espansor an implant. If necessary, the surgery is completed with a flap. There expanders that are not replaced, being filled until the desired volume.
The expansion may be contraindicated when:
- The skin is injured by radiation therapy or previous interventions.
- Infection in the body.
- Patients with low motivation or psychologically unstable .
- Taking drugs that contraindicate expansion.
- inadequate tissue coverage .
- disease or physiological disorder (diabetes, heart , smoking, etc.)..
Massage in the expansion process.
Sister Sprawl usually painful, but annoying, especially in the closing stages. To minimize discomfort, we have designed a small sequence of massage and mobilization. Patients receiving this treatment claim that the expansion now diminish or disappear. We advise massage on the expander immediately after expansion.
The massage is performed with very gentle exercises that never cause pain to the patient. Damage does not occur on the expander , or alters or impedes subsequent expansions. We have never had an adverse reaction, instead the patients appreciate and apply this treatment noticing a huge, immediate improvement. Massage on espansor maneuvers can be combined with manual lymphatic drainage and mobilization of the shoulder joint in patients with reduced mobility.
massage on expander may be contraindicated, when there seroma, hematoma or heal easily.
This video is a short demonstration of how to perform the massage.
